Focusing on Teacher-Child Interactions on a Broad Scale: A Look at Texas Rising Stars
Texas’ quality rating and improvement system (QRIS) called Texas Rising Star, recently changed how the criteria is weighted in their system. Now, 40% of a program’s score is focused on teacher-child interactions, while environment, qualifications and training, and program administration are each only weighted 20%. So, why the switch? And how have Texas Workforce Boards responded to the shift in focus? Our webinar will take a closer look at why Texas Rising Star made the shift and how one Texas area Workforce Board has responded to support their programs in improving teacher-child interactions.
